Independent, non-partisan think tank

Adelphi Council is an independent think tank founded by Carlo Alderighi and directed by Massimiliano Gattoni. Its purpose is to assess the current political and economic situation and to interpret its future implications.

The Council does not take sides on the political merits of the issues it examines. Its aim is to bring greater clarity and a measure of truth to a landscape that is often confused, in an international context of growing complexity.

The Council brings together profiles from institutions, defence, the professions, business, culture and higher education, united by an interest in global equilibria, the quality of leadership and the value of analysis conducted with rigour, a sense of measure and an awareness of the historical context.

The nature of the Council is deliberately reserved. The quality of dialogue demands discretion, reliability of interlocutors and an environment consistent with the calibre of the subjects addressed.

Adelphi Council was not conceived as a venue for representation, nor as a platform for public exposure. It positions itself as a setting for qualified exchange, oriented towards the substance of issues and grounded in the centrality of strategic thought.

Founder and President

Carlo Alderighi

Economist and strategic consultant, Carlo Alderighi has devoted his career to advising industrial groups, with a focus on managing international operations and foreign contracts. He has held prominent roles in ministerial and parliamentary commissions, as well as serving on boards of directors. His experience extends across geopolitically strategic areas such as Africa, the United States, China and the Arab countries, where he has supported Italian companies in global expansion and in navigating local economic and political complexities. With an approach that integrates economics and geopolitics, Carlo Alderighi analyses the international dynamics that shape markets and global scenarios.

Director General

Massimiliano Gattoni

Computer engineer and Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. Experience spanning business and public institutions: at the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure, across two governments, first as Head of the Minister's Technical Secretariat and then as Strategic Advisor; at ANAS as Chief Information Officer, responsible for the cybersecurity of critical national infrastructure. Founder and CEO of NeuroMind AGI, a deep-tech company working across healthcare and cognitive defence, and author of «Cognitive Warfare: la conquista della mente nell'era dell'intelligenza artificiale» (2026). Brings to the Council the study of how emerging technologies, and artificial intelligence in particular, are reshaping the geopolitical balance.
